Soweto Full Day Tour

Our tour starts from the client’s hotel or the Rosebank Hop ‘on’ Hop ‘off’ bus stop through to Houghton passing where at the house where Nelson Mandela lived during his Presidency and the second house where he stayed until his death.

From Houghton you will be whisked away to Soweto via the Calabash (FNB Stadium – stop for photos) to Orlando East Towers where we take a stop and explore the cooling towers which were built in the 1930’s and decommissioned in 1998 and now they used as an entertain and business centre. You can Bungee or Freefall in one of the towers during this tour.

From the Towers we will pass through Regina Mundi church and swing by at the quintessential Soweto Theatre in Jabulani.

From Soweto Theatre we will take you to Hector Pieterson Memorial on our way to Vilakazi street the only street in the world which can boast to having two Nobel Peace Prize Winners in Mandela and Tutu. You will tour the Mandela museum, pass by Tutu’s house.

We conclude our tour after lunch at Sakhumzi Restaurant which serves delicious local cuisine. This is NOT INCLUDED in the price.
